Jean Eugene Julien Masse (1856-1950) was a French painter known for his Impressionist style. He was born in Toulouse, France, and studied art under the painter Henri Lehmann. Masse's paintings often depicted landscapes, seascapes, and cityscapes. He was a member of the Societe des Artistes Francais and exhibited regularly at the Salon. Masse's work was highly regarded for his use of color and light to capture the essence of his subjects. He was known for his loose brushwork and ability to convey the mood and atmosphere of a scene. He died in Paris in 1950, leaving behind a legacy as one of France's foremost Impressionist painters.
