DESCRIPTION: A Jean-Louis-Marcel Cosson (French, 1878-1956) oil painting on board depicting elegant dancing figures in interior. Cosson was a French artist who specialised like his muse, Degas, in depicting subjects from the theatre, the ballet and from the world of horse racing. He was also a painter of still life. He was a member of the Society of French Artists and was awarded an honourable mention in 1901 and a third class medal in 1911. He also exhibited at the Salon de la National and at the Tuileries. Framed.
CIRCA: Early 20th Century.
ORIGIN: France.
DIMENSIONS: Frame is W: 25 1/2" H: 21 3/4". Painting is W: 18" H: 15".
