Antique French 19th century Jean-Pierre Tahan, Paris France Boulle lidded box. Rectangular form with brass inlay on a background of natural shell. Ornate arabesque design on all sides. Footed with ornate baroque relief trimming. Hinged top with lock and key. White fabric lined interior. Signed "TAHAN rue de la Paix 30 Paris" engraved on interior rim of lock. (Paris, 1813-1892) famous supplier to Emperor Napoleon III.

Dimensions: 6.75 X 14 X 10.25 in.

Condition: Good overall antique condition with average age patina, surface wear and minor loss. A piece of the brass wire inlay is in needing attention at the front corner. Locking mechanism in good working condition. Estate fresh to the market.
