Jens H. Quistgaard - dansk designs Germany - Flatware Set - dansk fjord

In 1954 an American business man, Ted Nierenberg, saw the work by Quistgaard in the Danish Museum of Art and Design. A cutlery set made of steel and teak. Nierenberg proposed mass production of these items for the American market. Initially Quistgaard refused, but eventually Nierenberg and Quistgaard Dansk Design together formed the now famous Fjord Flatware and brought it to market successfully. The cutlery can be seen in many museums all of the world now. For sale: 6 soup spoons (18 cm) 6 large knives (21 cm) 6 large forks (18 cm) 6 small forks, of which 1 with a small tear in the teak handle (17 cm) 5 small knives, of which 1 with a small tear in the teak handle(see photos) (17 cm) 6 dessert spoons (16 cm) 1 gravy spoon (17 cm) 1 large meat set (knife 36 cm and fork 28 cm) 4 serving spoons (27 cm)
