Account of an important voyage which revealed much scientific data. The Arctic Bibliography describes it as "Narrative of an expedition (in which the author took part as surgeon) in search of Sir John Franklin...from Aberdeen, though Davis Strait to west coast of Greenland, through Baffin Bay, Lancaster Sound to Cornwallis Island, the wintering there at Assistance Harbour, boat and sledge journeys in Barrow Strait, around Wellington Channel..." etc. Arctic Bib. 17231.
Condition Report: Rebacked with original spine strip laid down, some staining and rubbing to covers; hinges reinforced, some dampstaining, offsetting and foxing to pages, tape repairs to maps, ownership signature in pen on front pastedown; overall very good.
