The painting is framed in a decorative gold frame.

Biography: A native of Indianapolis, Kathleen McMurray has had an interest in art all her life. She received a Best in Show in the amateur division at the Indiana State Fair in 1977. Early study with Indiana artists, Nancy Noel and Floyd Hopper gave way, however, to an interest in medicine. She attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio followed by Indiana University School of Medicine. After practicing medicine for 10 years, Dr. McMurray retired in 1998 in order to devote more time to her family.
In the fall of 1999, Katy began painting again and has been selling her works in Indianapolis since that time. Largely self taught, she has been influenced by the still lifes of Chardin and Fantin Latour.
She is a member and award winner of the Hoosier Salon and the Oil Painters of America. She is affiliated with Sigman's Gallery, Indianapolis.
