1941-42 Stamps of South Africa surcharged specialised collection including a set with each pair handstamped and sharing "specimen" (16.5x2.75mm.) and a second set in pairs with each stamp handstamped "specimen" (K4 diagonally and in violet on the 70c. on 1/-), the issued stamps with ranges of the 5c. on 1d., 10c. on 3d. and 20c. on 6d. with some mint multiples and minor type or original stamp varieties, then a large quantity of the 70c. on 1/- pairs mint (143) and used (223) largely in corner or marginal blocks of four or larger, many with arrows and including crescent moon flaw mint (15) and used (13, two on covers), some with step perforations, papers, shades and cancellations.
