Kuba Schirwan - Rug - 174 cm - 140 cm

A beautiful antique Caucasian Shirvan rug featuring well-known Shirvan motifs. All sides ends and selvedges are original untouched piece. The rug with an all-over pattern of flowers and abstract geometries on rarely seen sky blue background, surrounded by a complementary floral on a favourite white borders. This early 20th century very tasteful piece is a fine wool pile and in perfect condition. Despite utilizing well-known motifs, the overall composition of the rug is very creative and unique. Very well preserved, sturdy and clean.
