LADIES' 18K GOLD WATHERSTON & SON VICTORIAN CORAL & PEARL BRACELET.

Ladies' 18K yellow gold Victorian hinged bracelet with pink coral, pearls and diamonds in the Etruscan revival style, circa 1860's. The bracelet is comprised of 32 pearls, 20 pink coral cabochons and 4 rose-cut diamonds set amongst very fine granulation and gold wirework. The back has a removable frame for a photo or hair work. The bracelet is fitted in it's original leather box with a gold crown and "Watherston & Son, 12 Pall Mall East, London, Goldsmiths Jewelers & Silversmiths." The center portion measures 52mm wide. Inside diameter when clasped measures 2 1/4". The bracelet and box present in excellent nearly unworn condition with a few minor losses within the chevron patterned design. Gross weight 99.2 g. Unmarked. Untested. James Henderson Watherston and his son Edward James Watherston went into business together in 1864. James had previously partnered with John Brogden before leaving to go into business with his son. Together they started as manufacturing jewelers and chain makers located at 12 Pall Mall East in London. They exhibited at the Paris International Exposition of 1867.
