Original half leather binding with gold stamped title on cover.An extensive album, containing a portrait of the Maharaja Holkar, Shivaji Rao Holkar (1859-1908; 12th Maharaja of Indore), as well as exterior and interior views of his palaces Inderbhawan and Lalbagh. It also shows the ruler's state elephants, street scenes and architecture of Indore, railway lines and bridge structures, as well as a two-part panorama of the Nerbudda River.

- The serial numbers and legends each affixed below the photographs to the mounts. The mounts somewhat browned and somewhat foxed in the margins, the lower corners friable and with small losses. The photographs mostly somewhat light-stained and/or soiled, but otherwise decent throughout. The album cover with some spotting, the corners and joints heavily scuffed, tears in the joints, somewhat loosened.
