LARGE CHINESE EXPORT FAMILLE ROSE PUNCH BOWL, 18TH CENTURY
of hemispherical shape and raised on a straight tall foot decorated with a band of gilt Greek key design and reserved on a deep blue ground, the sides painted with gentleman, ladies and children at leisure in a garden setting amidst rockery, trees and water below the gilt rim, the interior centered with three goldfish and aquatic plants all below a blue draped band and a wide band of cloud scrolls and Buddhistic emblems on a peach ground, gilt rims
Dimensions: Height: 6 in. (15.2 cm.), Diameter: 14 in. (35.6 cm.)
Condition: Chip to exterior of rim; Chip approx. 1/2 in. long and 1/4 long. Wear to gilt and enamels particularly to interior, commensurate with use and age. Exterior with lovely quality painting.
