the clock surmounted by a large maiden in classical dress, holding the hand of a putto, on an oval base imitating water with lily-pads, signed E. HERBERT, with lion-form heads to front and back, surmounting the barrel movement with white enamel chapters and Roman numerals, flanked by splayed legs with architectural hips above female busts and paw feet, the movement striking a bell and marked J. LEFEBVRE FILS/ PARIS and with JAPY FRERES medallion, 62cm high, 31cm wide; with a pair of five-light candelabra, en suite, surmounted by the busts wearing Phrygian caps and raised on slim baluster columns cast with lion 'hides', on circular bases with corresponding splayed legs ending in paw feet, 61.5cm high (3)
