LARGE GERMAN BISQUE NAPOLEON EQUESTRIAN FIGURE

Kister KG Scheibe-Alsbach (German, 1844-1991), marks used 1925-1972. Large bisque figure of Napoleon crossing the Alps, 'Napoleon Bonaparte au Passage des Alpes', modeled by Otto Poertzel (German, 1876-1963) after the painting by Jacques-Louis David (French, 1748-1825), the rear of the figure with printed mark and embossed '9650'.

Condition: Chip to edge of the hat, accretions, no apparent restorations.
