LATE 18TH C. MARKED SCOTTISH HIGHLAND BROADSWORD
Mid to Late 18th century traditional Scottish highland claymore pierced basket hilted broadsword. Steel basket hilt is decorated with traditional pierced circular pattern of the 18th century. Double edged straight blade bears short triple fuller & is maker marked on ricasso " F H " with the image of what appears to be a sailboat in between the letters. Maker's mark is highlighted in white. Pre - pattern 1828.
