Depicting the two elks fighting with their antlers interlocked on rockery. Mark to read 'PJ Mene' and numbered 15. Possibly by Pierre Jules Mêne (1810 - 1879). He was a famous French sculptor and animalier, considered as one of the pioneers of animal sculpture in the 19th century. L: 24 in.
