LENINGRAD PORCELAIN INKWELL,MODEL BY NATALIA DANKO

formed as a stack of books, atop is a bust of Lenin with a scroll with red Cyrillic script, the lower book spine in black underglaze reads, 'Collected works / Vol. X / N. Lenin / V. Ulyanov', the cover of the of the inkwell with a facsimile signature: V. Ulyanov (Lenin), factory mark in green underglaze underside; height: 15 cm (5 7/8 in.)

CONDITION
The porcelain inkwell appears age-appropriate condition. Surface discoloration, visible along the front edge of the scroll. Inspection under UV light shows no apparent sign of restoration.

Session II: European, North and South American, and Ethnographic Art, Antiques, Jewelry, and Design, lots 500-827
