LETTER OF THANKS TO SIR MOSES MONTEFIORE BEARING SIGNATURES OF LEADING YERUSHALAYIM RABBIS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS, RABBI YITZCHAK KOBO, RABBI YESHAYA BARDAKI, RABBI DAVID TEVELE BERLIN AND THE FAMOUS PRINTER AND ACTIVIST REB NISSAN BAK .

Letter dated 1851, expressing thanks for a donation from New York received through Sir Moses for the poor of Yerusholayim.

Rabbi Yitzchak Kobo (1770-1854), Dayan and later Sefardi Chief Rabbi of Yerushalayim, emissary of Yerushalyim community to Turkey (1815), London and Egypt (1854). Author of many rabbinic works.

Rabbi Yeshaya Bardaki (1790-1863), disciple of Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin and of Rabbi Yisrael of Shklov. Settled in Tzefas in 1810, and after the earthquake in Tzefas he moved to Yerushalayim, where he became a leader of the Ashkenazi community.

Rabbi David Tevele Berlin (1780-1852), son of Chief Rabbi Shlomo Hershel of London. Settled in Yerushalayim and became a leader of the Perushim community and Treasurer of the Churvas Rabbi Yehuda Hachasid.

R. Nissan Bak, son of the famous printer R. Yisrael Bak. Representative of the Rebbes of Ruzhin and Sadagura in Eretz Yisrael, heading the construction of the Tiferes Yisrael Synagogue in Yerushalayim on their behalf. Leading Yerushalayim communal activist.
