Sign for "F.J. Gosselin & Sons Home Furnishings", circa 1900-1910, in black sand painted pine with raised applied white letters, plank framed, 23 1/2" x 205" (11'-1") long, 4 1/2" deep, reinforced from behind. Losses to sanded paint, weathered.Gosselin's was a fixture at 68 Maine Street in Brunswick, Maine (home of Bowdoin College), the building is now three restaurants: 'The Big Top', 'Little Tokyo' & Gelato Fiasco', across the street from 'J&J Cleaners' at the Cabot Mill end of Maine Street. They lasted until the late 1950s.
