Handcol. engraved map with large cartouche (comprising 16 coats-of-arms), legend & compass-rose. (Publ. in Antwerp by J.B. Vrints, ca. 1608). Ca. 41,5 x 56 cm. Behind passepartout & framed (behind glass).
¶ Cf. Koeman (Atlantes Neerlandici) III, p. 187. Attractive general map of the Low Countries published by the Flemish printmaker Johannes Baptista Vrints (=Jan Baptist Vrients, 1552-1610). – Vertical fold in the middle (as publ.), small tear in outer left margin (expertly restored), small tear in upper & lower part of fold, occ. sl. foxed/ browned, but nevertheless in good condition (not examined out of frame).
