LUFTWAFFE DAGGER, FIRST MODEL WITH HANGER
First Model Luftwaffe dagger, 12 in. blade, 17.75 in. overall, with gold-toned aluminum pommel and hilt, and inset brass sun wheel-style swastikas at the center of both. The manufacturer's mark of Paul Weyersberg & Company from Solingen appears on the blade, and the black leather-covered scabbard is fitted with an intact chain hanger. The blade is affected by trace run marks towards the center, otherwise remains bright and clean. The handle is in very good condition, save for some slight chipping at spots, and the brass wire remains tightly wound. The scabbard's leather covering slightly peeling towards one side, and has been reinforced with tape, with very slight verdigris to the metal fittings. Very good condition, and in better condition than typically seen.
