Beautiful black lacquered lacquered tray (hirobuta) with rounded corners, in Ogata Korin style, decorated with a early summer scene in raised gold lacquer (takamaki-e high-relief design) with a bird flying over a pond. The bird is decorated in raised gold lacquered as the same for the lotus plants and the iris flowers (kakitsubata) . The water is represented by sprinkled gold and a sophisticated design of gold waves. In Hiramaki-e lacquer: low-relief design The tray-table has 4 feet of 4,5 cm height. The side of the table is also decorated with sprinkled gold. Signed at the reverse side: Kosui. Some light scratches but overall in really nice shiny condition with beautiful lacquer ware. Comes with the original wooden transport box. When shipped we will add a certificate of authenticity.
