Lalique's “Masque de Femme” shows the face of a mysterious woman, who is surrounded by a mystical aquatic world, made up of numerous fish. This stunning Art Deco motif dates back to 1935 and is by the Art Deco artist and founder of Lalique, René Lalique. The artist was inspired for this artistic design by both the female figure and nature. The founder of the company, René Lalique, started making glass objects in 1926. These days, Lalique products have become popular collectibles, especially since they all have a story to tell. René Lalique manages to imbue the rather cold look of glass with poetry and sensuality.
