Lamborghini - 2R - 1965
Vintage Lamborghini 2R tractor from 1965. The tractor is in good working condition despite being 57 years old. The 2R model was produced from 1961 to 1967, in various versions, both with a round bonnet and, much rarer like this one, with a square bonnet. From 1964 on, it was also produced in a 4-wheel drive version (2R DT) . The vehicle derives from the 3352R. Lamborghini Trattori was founded in 1948 by the legendary Ferruccio Lamborghini and was famous for manufacturing military and industrial engines and farm tractors. A new facility opened in 1956, while in 1966 the company released the model we are now offering, the square-bonnet Lamborghini 2R, that replaced the round-bonnet Lamborghini 2R. The tractor on offer is one of the last manufactured pieces of its model number. The 2R is powered by an air-cooled, three-cylinder, 39-HP diesel engine with six forward gears and two reverses. It features a beautiful, entirely original rear hydraulic lift. Overall, the tractor is in decent condition. The engine is functional and working, and the gears shift with ease. The bodywork is healthy even if 60 years have passed. In addition to the lift, a genuine optional back in the times, it also has two rear power take-offs: one with united rpm, the other synchronised with the gearbox. The vehicle has no papers but comes with its original vintage side plaque, displaying the engine number and machine details, as you can see from the photos. The Lamborghini 2R square-bonnet tractor model is quite rare. In case of the purchase of the tractor, a simple declaration of sale between private parties will be issued, given that we are not dealers. Shipping is only available within Italy by agreement between the parties. For sales abroad, the buyer must first collect it in Italy.
