An inspection of this vehicle was done by a professional from Mon Spécialiste Auto (an organisation independent from Catawiki) on 21 April 2021, screenshots of the report are available in the photos of the lot. The full report can be seen here: https: //inspections. monspecialisteauto. com/32afe586-91ed-4236-b417-117d22b3f191? show. Internal. Prices=true# The report shows that the vehicle is in a very satisfactory overall condition: - The condition of the bodywork is very good and shows only minor imperfections. - The condition of the interior is good, however it shows some signs of wear consistent with the age of the vehicle: slightly discoloured seats, slightly worn carpets. - The mechanics do not show any significant defects according to the inspector. After 17 years of production, the legendary Countach was replaced by the Diablo which, when it was launched, was the fastest, most advanced and most expensive Lamborghini ever built. First shown to the public in Monaco in January 1990, the Diablo surpassed its illustrious predecessor in every way, setting a new benchmark for supercars. No one was surprised to learn that it was designed by Marcello Gandini, the man behind the Lamborghini Miura and Countach, as the similarity to its predecessors was obvious. Under the skin, its steel chassis was based on that of the Countach but built with a square section rather than round tubes while incorporating "crumple zones" at the front and rear. The use of carbon fibre composite panels, first seen in the Countach Evoluzione model, was extended to the Diablo, which also featured a revised suspension capable of accommodating planned future developments in four-wheel drive and active suspension. An avalanche of technology and a lightning fast engine: a 5. 7l V12 with an impressive 492 hp. This vehicle has been fitted with new 18" OZ rims replacing the original 17” ones. To ensure that it runs smoothly, the vehicle has incurred invoices of more than €50,000 at P3 Automobiles in Cannes and at Passion Automobile Prestige in Dardilly. The engine, transmission, clutch, running gear, cooling system and wiring harness have all been checked and serviced regularly. The lines of this legendary GT, its driving position and the sound of its engine are enough to convince any collector that this vehicle deserves all of the accolades and elevates it to the rank of a legend.
