Condition Report:
The canvas has been laid down on a cradled panel which is planar and stable. There are a few lines of thin craqueleure visible mostly in the sky. The paint in the trees and lower landscape remains thick and heavy on the canvas. The varnish has worn a bit and some areas of the sky show the weave of the canvas, but this is not distracting; the work continues to appear quite fresh and vibrant. Under ultraviolet light one can see numerous areas of carefully applied in-painting throughout the composition, likely to strengthen some thinner or darker areas. These are not noticeable or distracting to the naked eye. The painting can be hung as is and is offered in a carved giltwood frame.
