Large Antique Porcelain Dragon Vase

DESCRIPTION: Large porcelain vase featuring on its central bodily segment a red long dragon flying over ocean waves and sea foam. This image is framed above and below by foliage and floral borders against white backgrounds. Lower part of neck features fenghuang (Chinese phoenix) and cloud motifs; upper part of neck is decorated with foliage motifs and embellished with elephant head handles. Vase lip features foliage and floral motifs to match the borders around the dragon and the foot features seashell, fire, and geometric motifs and designs. Mark on underside suggests 18th century Qing dynasty origin.
