The ovoid vase with a short straight neck, the body decorated on a pale bluish-green wan-fret ground with various flowers and butterflies in flight, all between a band of ruyi pendants around the shoulder and a lappet border around the foot; the bowl with steep sides raised on a tall straight foot, the exterior walls embellished on a turquoise ground with butterflies amidst various sizes of concentric circles, the yellow-ground interior similarly decorated with butterflies against a dense pattern of circles. {The vase: 8 1/2 inches (21.6 cm) high; the bowl: 13 1/4 inches (33.7 cm) wide}.
