A Large Chinese Yellow Ground Famille Rose Phoenix Hu Vase, Qianlong mark. Of pear-shaped vase supported by tapered foot, attached mythical beast head form handles, the body beautifully decorated with phoenixes surrounded by colorful clouds and flaming fires below a band of dragons in patterns, similar patterns to the neck with 'Shou' roundels above floral decorations, all against a yellow ground engraved coutinuous swirl patterns, the interior painted with light blue thinning to white at the bottom, the base inscribed a 'Qianlong Nianzhi' mark in a double border. {Height: Approximately 17 inches (43.1 cm)}.
