Large Complete Fossil Keichousaurus - Swimming Reptile
Late Triassic seas, found in China, ca. 200 million years old. A beautifully preserved, articulated fossil of a Keichousaurus, in its original matrix, with its long neck and tail stretched out to either side of its small body and its limbs curved down at its sides. Keichousaurus was a marine reptile that went extinct at the end of the Triassic, a time period when many marine reptiles went extinct, leading to the rise of the dinosaurs. The animal would have eaten fish in the ancient seas that ringed the supercontinent Pangaea. Comes in wood and glass frame. Size: 21.55" W x 10.2" H (54.7 cm x 25.9 cm); size of frame: 25.25" W x 18.25" H (64.1 cm x 46.4 cm)
