Large Fossilized Megalodon Tooth - 5"

[ translate ]

**First Time At Auction**

Ancient Seas, Middle Miocene to end of Pliocene eras, ca. 28 to 2.6 million years ago. This is a large and gorgeous fossilized tooth from the prehistoric megalodon shark! This tooth displays a mottled white and brown matte root and an orange-yellow bourlette. The enamel is a warm gray with yellow undertones and is unpolished - the luster is a natural result of fossilization! The areas missing some of the enamel reveal the black interior layer. The multitude of colors are a result of the minerals and chemicals present in the water and sediment as the tooth fossilized! This tooth is a large size and is a dramatic representation of the monster predator sharks that evoke a primal fear and utter wonderment! Size: 5.04" L x 3.93" W (12.8 cm x 10 cm)

Provenance: ex-Bennett's Premiere Auction Gallery, Ashland, Ohio, USA

All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.
