Large Holy Water stoup / Washbasin - 51 x 50 cm - Marble Breccia Partridge - 20th century

A basin/large water stoup in Breccia Pernice marble, finely hand carved and decorated by a professional of the time. Made in Venice. Unique for its shape and underside, which is entirely decorated. At the moment it features no water-hole, but one may be made upon request without any problems nor additional costs. It may also be used as a holy water stoup, just because it has no water-hole. Marble item of excellent workmanship, with extraordinary veins and patina, which have been preserved over time. This medium-sized item is perfect for its original use and it can be quite easily placed anywhere, thanks to its reduced sized. It is quite heavy, though. This lot is one of a kind, of excellent quality. Fine and elegant, of amazing brightness. Excellent overall condition, intact in all its parts.
