Large Holy Water stoup / Washbasin - 51 x 50 cm - Marble Breccia Partridge - First half of the 20th century

A large basin/stoup in Breccia Pernice marble, finely hand carved and decorated by a professional of the time. Made in Venice. Unique for its shape and underside, which is entirely decorated. At the moment it features no water-hole, but one may be made upon request without any problems nor additional costs. It may also be used as a holy water stoup, just because it has no water-hole. Marble item of excellent workmanship, with extraordinary grain and patina, which have been preserved over time. This medium-sized item is perfect for its original use and, thanks to its reasonable size, it can be placed very easily. It is quite heavy, though. It is a one-of-a-kind lot of exceptional quality. Fine and elegant. It conveys an amazing brightness. Excellent overall condition, intact in all its parts. In case of shipping, it will be delivered in a wooden crate with proper packaging.
