Contemporary Wood Sculpture by Daniel Meyer "Fourth Fiddle" Violin 1998. Meyer, is an American artist from Chicago and the renowned School of the Art Institute of Chicago. This is carved wood pieces and parts made from natural assorted woods, acrylic & lacquered with a pop of purple design. The acrylic, hardwood and lacquer pop art sculpture gives way to Meyers distinctive style and is etched into the piece with his signature, date and name "Fourth Fiddle". The actual sculpture on wood platform measures H 41" x W 22" (approximately) the bow is separate from the piece (weight is 52.5 lbs. ). There is a base stand is with the statue for display purposes. It measures W 20" x D 9.75" x H 27.25" and weighs 15 lbs. . The total combined weight is 67.5 lbs. No damage to the piece. All parts intact, minor age wear to base. Please refer to all photos. Overall in good condition.
