Large Tibetan Inlaid Orb

19th century AD. A large orb with entire surface ornamented with arches, circles, spirals and scrolls laid out in bands with metal pins and wires on a wood(?) core and inlaid with many turquoise and red coral cabochons. See Veleanu, M., Tibetan Artifacts, USA, 2009, for similar objects. 1.6 kg, 16.3cm (6 1/2"). Property of a North West London gentleman; part of his father's collection formed during the 1980s.
