Large USA WWII Naval Steel Shell Casing
North America, USA, World War II period, ca. 1941 to 1945 CE. A large, hollow shell casing, steel cast, with an elongated cylindrical form that narrows to a cone, flat base, and opening at its tip. This size of shell was likely used either with the main guns on a US Navy Cruiser or Destroyer, or with the secondary guns on a Battleship. Size: 8" W x 32" H (20.3 cm x 81.3 cm)
