On four cabriole legs base, the top carved as an all-round dragon, with shelves and compartments closed by doors and a platform to support the reproduction of a Buddhist temple portal, with gold lacquered panels depicting glimpses of landscapes with figures and pavilions, the frames of the panels and the skeleton of the whole cabinet decorated in golden lacquer with geometrical, naturalistic and stylized motifs and with the heraldic emblem with three maple leaves within a circle belonging to the Tokugawa, who ruled Japan from 1603 to 1868, the closing fitting of two doors on the left side of the cabinet and a support between two shelves in ivory.
