Large marble sculpture of Julia Domna. This marble sculpture was probably made in Italy around the beginning of the 20th century. Fully hand sculpted. Julia Domna was Roman Empress from 193 until her death. She was one of the most powerful figures in the Severan house and probably one of the most powerful empresses the Roman empire has known. The sculpture is in lived condition with traces of ageing. The pedestal has an old restoration.
