Late 19th C. Indian Nickel Silver & Glass Necklace

**First Time At Auction**

Central Asia, India, ca. late 19th to first half of the 20th century CE. A wearable necklace consisting of a cord lined with dozens of petite nickel-silver beads. The center displays eight ovoid ornaments bearing filigree wire surrounding a blue glass cabochon, and above each hanging ornament is a secondary suspension ornament inlaid with similar glass cabochons. Fine patina covers most of the nickel-silver components. Size (necklace): 17.375" L (44.1 cm); (each ornament): 1" W x 3.2" H (2.5 cm x 8.1 cm)

Provenance: ex-Davis collection, Houston, Texas, acquired before 2013 from various auction houses in London and New York
