[ translate ]

**Originally Listed At $200**

Central Asia, Nepal, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A hand-carved wooden mask of a stylized form with rectangular perforations for the eyes and mouth, a bar-shaped nose, and furrowed brows beneath a planar forehead. The Himalayan masking tradition is not as well-known as those from Africa or Southeastern Asia, and today some of the original information has been lost due to fading oral traditions.
