Laura Muolo - In my soul

[ translate ]

\Artist: Laura Muolo
Technique: Pastel\Signature: Hand signed
Deep in my unconscious, where everything seems to be silent, everything seems to be muffled like sounds at the bottom of the sea, but my eyes scream straight to the heart. . . what will become of me? Laura Muolo was born in 1975 in Milan but Rimini is her adopted town. She started to approach art as a self-taught in 2013. Her starting medium was graphite with which she immediately sought the realism of faces, while later she approached other media, such as pastels and painting. She has participated in many group exhibitions in Italy. Her works are part of several private collections in the United States, in Australia, Japan, France, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, and Italy. She exhibited in two solo exhibitions, the first in August 2016 at the Montescudo theatre hall (RN) and the other in September-October 2019 at the Arte e Vacanze gallery in Punta Marina, Ravenna (RA) . Laura’s works are constantly evolving, both for the mixed materials that she wants to combine and for the style that can range from classic to contemporary. But a fixed point can unite them all: the figurative genre. She has a dreamy and melancholy nature and tends to represent emotions and desires that go precisely through this state of mind, reinterpreted in a surreal or symbolic way. AWARDS: 2018 - first prize in painting - Arte e Vacanze international competition - Arte e Vacanze gallery of the Punta Marina spa beach establishment, Ravenna / - 2021 - finalist at the Marchionni prize, painting section / - 2021 - finalist at the Pordelio prize “Espressioni Artistiche del Litorale”, painting section / - 2021 - winner of the second prize, Prisma Art Prize - 8th edition.
