The piece was made by Le Ore, a small Italian family manufacturer which specializes in intricate and colorful wood inlay. The clock and table are made of wood and have a stunning, heavy mother of pearl inlay, accented by a gorgeous black lacquer. The clock is elaborately decorated with cast brass queen, equestrian, foliate, and other mounted accents typical of the Italian Renaissance style, which are covered in heavy ground gold gilt. The mother of pearl lacquer inlay with the vibrant gold create a stunning visual effect due to the unique play of colors, and the ornate attention to detail makes this a truly magnificent piece.
