A lovely antique Chinese porcelain large Wucai lidded jar with a central decoration of peonies, executed in a nice underglaze blue and white with overglaze red, yellow, green and black. In the border a classical decoration of geometrical and repeating leaf patterns. Handcrafted in ancient China during the late Ming dynasty, ca. 1640. Guaranteed original and of the stated period. Superb quality with very old labels (one with east Indian ink) on the bottom. Including an old wooden lid with the same old label on the inside. Height: 22,2 centimeter, including lid; excluding base. Condition: The object is in overall good condition, one restored chip (with a short attached hairline) .
