L. Howard Esquire' has been hand written under 'Translated from the French' in the same ink and handwriting. An additional signature of 'David Hasbrouck has been written under the title. This scarce narrative of the life of a Russian Field Marshal is a fascinating if not entirely historically accurate account of various military campaigns in Russia during the 1700s.
