Lincoln - Sport Sedan Flathead V8 Hydramatic - 1950

[ translate ]

This Lincoln from 1950 is definitely a very distinct model: it has wonderful, round shapes and an amazingly beautiful design with characteristic suicide doors. This is a rare and sought-after model which is not often offered for sale. When we acquired this specific car, it came straight from the garage of its first owner, who originally purchased it with her husband in 1950 as a new car from the car dealer. It is a completely original car with beautiful chrome and without any rust. It has not been restored. The paint is original and has patina. It has been polished too thoroughly here and there, but it is still authentic. Mechanically, the car is a real gem as well. The powerful flathead V8 engine runs like the wind and the Hydramatic transmission shifts wonderfully. All mechanical parts have been checked and parts in need of replacement have been replaced. The braking system has also been replaced in its entirety. The beautiful whitewall tyres are new and all oils and filters have been changed. So plenty of money, time and love has been invested in this car recently. This rare limousine drives like a new car and is superbly comfortable. It is a one-off specimen and it is definitely unique in this condition and with this history. The car comes with a United States vehicle title and an import document which shows all import duties have been paid. We try to describe the cars as honestly and correctly as possible, but since they are used vehicles it is always possible for one part or another to be in need of attention or to show signs of wear. This is inherent in all used items. It is recommended to come and view the vehicle prior to placing a bid in order to prevent disappointment. Please contact Catawiki to schedule an appointment. This extraordinary Lincoln can be viewed and/or picked up in Herkenbosch, the Netherlands.
