Two prints by Utagawa Yoshifuji (1828-1887) depicting scenes from the story of Chūshingura (忠臣蔵, The Treasury of Loyal Retainers) . It is based on the historical incident involving the forty-seven rōnin and their mission to avenge the death of their master, Asano Naganori.
The first picture on the left is "The beginning and second act"

The publisher is Tsujiokaya Bunsuke (辻岡屋文助) (ca 1814 – 1896) .

The print on the right is the "Ninth Stage" and "Tenth Stage" and was also issued by Tsujiokaya Bunsuke but in 1854.
The censorship marks are: an aratame and an oval date seal.
