This coffee table features a beautifully aged Louis Vuitton Alzer 75 suitcase from the era of the 1980's-1990's. The Trunk features a monogrammed face. The trunk itself is in average well traveled condition and perfect for this application. With the striking brown and gold monogrammed faces and brassware with a perfectly aged patina this item speaks for itself. The subtle details of craftsmanship pour out of this item.
The trunk is sitting on a solid base with maple multi ply wood top. Heavy three pin iron legs hold up a sturdy English Chestnut stained maple wooden base. The top of the base has holes drilled so the brass feet of the trunk slip inside and firmly secure the trunk in the event it is budged or hit. Rubber Grips level the glass top and base.
Topping the trunk is a piece of 3/8s inch custom cut tempered glass to protect the top of the trunk with rubber grips to secure it to the top via the brass corners of the trunk to prevent wear on the top of the aging canvas.
The most important part of this unique piece is that the trunk was not modified in any way to create it. It is in great original lightly refurbished condition and really eye catching!

Condition Report: Trunk: Trunk is in good condition overall. Leather edging has one major flaw on the rear of trunk. Imperfection on the canvas on the bottom of the trunk. Glass: Glass is new and free of imperfections Trunk is missing interior shelf. Base: The base is cut of reclaimed wood and has imperfections in line with the vintage distressed look of the item. Legs and base are very sturdy.
