Louis XV Walnut Console Table attributed to Pierre Hache
Mid-18th century
Height 33 inches (84.8 cm), width 59 3/4 inches (151.8 cm), depth 30 1/4 inches (76.8 cm).
This particular console is related to the gilded console in Pierre and Françoise Rouge's recent book, Le génie des HACHE, Editions Faton, 2005, pp. 392 (once owned by Mary Helen McCoy Fine Antiques). The carving is the same on the apron and feet. The double c-shaped molding on the legs and the two garland of lily-of-the-valley are recurrent in the Louis XIV and Régence production of both Thomas and Pierre Hache.
