The galleried white marble top above three frieze drawers and a roll top opening to a sliding leather-lined writing panel and pigeonholes and three drawers, with a frieze drawer and an arched kneehole flanked by two drawers and a deep drawer, the sides with slides, raised on fluted circular tapering legs; bearing three JME stamps. Height 45 inches, width 54 1/2 inches, depth 23 1/2 inches.
Christophe-André Hache (1748-1831), a member of the renowed family of ébénistes in Grenoble.
