late 19th century, the rectangular marble top above a conforming case fitted with seven chevron-veneered banded drawers, raised on slightly cabriole legs.
h. 59-1/2", w. 27-1/2", d. 16-1/2"
Provenance: Estate of Victor and Marie Cascio, Monroe, Louisiana.
Condition Report: **The marble top is in overall good condition with no visible breaks or repairs. There are some small flea bites along the perimeter edges and a few shallow flakes to the back edge.
Sturdy and stable.
Drawers slide freely. Locks present. A gilded key is present but does not appear to throw the latches of the locks.
There are a few scattered finish irregularities and a few past veneer repairs. There is one small veneer loss to a rail above a drawer, about 1/8" diameter. No losses to marquetry inlay observed.
