PUEL-DETOT & LOYS LUCHA "Lampe Japonaise"
. A beautiful and very rare French 1930 art deco lamp in nickel plated solid brass or bronze by M. Puel-Detot. It holds a shade by the glass manufactory of Loÿs Lucha. This was the company of Louis Joseph Chaffard-Luçon (1880-1951) . Based in Boulogne-sur-Seine near Paris France this company was specialized in enamelled glasses in art deco style. In French art deco lighting we can only find enamelled glass of similar high quality by the Daum related company Leune with designs of Heiligenstein.
. Loÿs Lucha mainly made decorated bowls, the small side-shades for chandeliers and table lamps are hard to find items. The shade on this lamp is a model called "Japonaise" in the old Lucha catalog I have (see pictures, the catalog is of coarse no part of this sale) . The shade is in excellent condition. The shape is rather irregular, see last three photos. The hole on top for the hood is not in the center and the rim at the bottom is not horizontal. The lamp is in very good condition. I have renickeled and patinated the base. It is signed M. Puel-Detot. The side-shades of Loys Lucha are never signed. The lamp is 29,7 cm high and the shade has a diameter of about 92 mm. The lamp comes newly wired with cloth covered twisted cord. It holds a European E14 socket. For the States Canada or Japan I will rewire it with an american candelabra base socket and 2-prong plug.

. Safe packaging guaranteed : As specialized restorer of French art Deco lighting I sell my lamps online for a fraction of the prices art deco shops sell for. For over 20 years I ship my parcels worldwide with the precious items well protected and fully insured.
